Journal With Me using PopFizzPaper Prompts.
I am an avid journal writer, often writing daily and at times multiple times a day. It has carried me through tough times and holds bits of wisdom for me rediscover at a later date. I also know the fear of the dreaded blank page. So I have developed my creative way of responding to that by painting and using ephemera to fill the page up. My final battle method is journal prompts. These are great tools to help defeat the blank page, or those moments of not knowing what to write about.
So I was positive one of the things I wanted to make was monthly journal prompt stickers. I wanted you to have enough that you could use them everyday if you wanted even as part of your daily journal writing, or use them whenever. I was very positive I didn't want to order them, I hate being told when and how to journal. So mix them up do them whenever do 5 of them in one day, the options are all yours.
I personally always start my pages the same way I slap down some color. Here I'm using Derwent Inktense blocks which are a water soluble pastel made of ink. When these colors dry they aren't going anywhere at all. I do lots of different styles but I generally keep the color combinations simple. Navy and magenta is a color combination I just adore right now so I went with that.
Next I do all my decorating, sometimes I go with a theme, or events that happened that day. Other times I just choose what pleases me. I have been dying to use these die cuts by Amy Tangerine that were in the January kit, that elephant is so darn cute. I'm addicted to the Heidi Swapp date stamp and use that bad boy anywhere I need a date so this time I skipped on the date stickers. final touch for me was this rub-on that seemed perfect for my first page in this journal. All that was left was picking the prompt, "What word would you like to live by this year?" I quickly painted it yellow again with inktense and all I needed was the writing.
Now don't fret if like me your pen bleeds (this is usually due to the having used water on the page it has removed the sizing, such a rookie mistake) I just switched pens. Journal writing is about capturing the moment and sharing a piece of yourself, being pretty or perfect isn't it's goal. Don't stress and enjoy the process.
