I have something a little different for you today, let's call it a tin letter.

For this project I used the April Planner Kit to create a letter with goodies to put inside a tin can I had left over from another project.

When you open the tin, it greets you with a nice letter to explain what this is. You can pull the letter out to reveal all of it's glory! I used one of the papers from the kit as my base and adorned it with diecuts from my collection, stickers from the kit and more.

I also used some of the quote stickers for embellishments.

I cut out some stars from the paper to make a one of a kind paper clip with a little tulle and my laminator.

For the last "card" I used the star sequins in the kit to make a little shaker pocket and adorned it with a quote sticker and a star enamel that also came in the kit.

Today I'm sharing with you my new passion Project Life. Back in the day I used to scrapbook but I found it a bit of a todo for me. and the pages were big and the papers were expensive, and eventually I just stopped. When I first started seeing project life popping up it piqued my interest, but I pushed it aside as something not for me. Sure enough those around me started doing it and well I just fell into it and decided to start (I blame Serena Bee and Diana). Anyway I only do 6 x 8 pages for now which is small and easy for me to manage I'm sure soon enough I'll do a larger size but for now I'm enjoying this size. 

First things I did was gather up my supplies. I know I'm doing a 3 card lay out using one 4 x 6 and two 3 x 4's. I wasn't sure which picture I was going to use but I started with the 4 x 6.

I had this 4 x 6 picture of my dog Mac, and I was looking at that and I thought wouldn't it look great is back was sleeping in the galaxy. So with a little fussy cutting I was able to get him laying there snoozing in the big galaxy land. I outlined him a little in black and then embellished away. I especially like the skinny appointment box as a date box idea. 

The next pocket I kept simple cause it was going to be a shaker pocket of sorts, so just some silver glitter washi, and a wood chip heart. I'm using this glitter that came as a bonus in the April kit. 

The final pocket I wanted to feature some of the stunning star paper so I used it to make a little pocket for a tag. I kept the tag really simple with just "BEST DOG" written out in glitter alphas, I added another wood chip that says "Yep, this" and a few more of the enamel stars that also came with the kit. 

Finally I put everything in the page protector. As I don't have a Fuse tool I just used clear tap along the top to seal the shaker pocket shut. I really love how this page went together and especially love how simple and easy it was to do. Best news is I used only a fraction of the gorgeous galaxy papers so I have plenty more for future spreads. As a paper crafter, one of my favorite things to create are ATCs (artist trading cards) and Inchies. An ATC is a 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 piece of sturdy card stock embellished and created any way you wish. An Inchie is a 1x1 square of sturdy card stock  embellished and created any way you wish. I have made and traded these with people from all over the world and have gotten some amazing ATCs and Inchies . I decided that the amazing papers PopFizzPaper included in her April Planner Kit would be fantastic to create with. I gathered together the papers, some of the PopFizzPaper stickers and, some embellishments. Then I got to crafting.

First, I cut down the card stock into the needed sizes and covered them with the PopFizzPapers cut to the same size. I pulled out some of my favorite ink stamps. After rough tearing some of the paper, I edged them with the different colors and allowed them to dry before randomly gluing them to the ATCs and Inchies. 

I then pulled out as much "bling" as I could and stared applying them to the ATCs. I even used the glitter stars that PopFizzPaper included in the Kit from Lawn Fawn. I added some PopFizzPaper Starstruck quotes and a few of the PopFizzpaper planets.  I did the same with the Inchies.  They are a small space to work with but to create an entire set of them that coordinate is an amazing feat. They turned out so amazing!! 

These ATCs and Inchies are fun to make and trade with others. They can be painted or drawn, collage or embellished any way that you want . The hand-created papers that PopFizzPaper made are so perfect to create anything with and it made the imaginative process simple. Today I am going to do a mini tutorial using a few of the items from the April planner kit.

The materials I used are:

-- The information card

-- Plain black and yellow cardstock

-- Star sequins

-- Star stickers

-- Chalk ink

-- Acetate or piece of plastic

As well as basic supplies like glue, adhesive foam dots and string.

The first thing I did was doodle out what I wanted on a piece of paper and cut the items that I wanted on my Silhouette. The base of the card is matte black and galaxy print from the information card. I also printed out "You're out of this world" to add to the tag. You can leave it blank, add a name or another quote.

Next I glued my "planet" (the black circle) to my acetate and put some very small adhesive foam dots around the outside. This helps raise the planet from the card so that the sequins inside will shake. (FUN FACT: I used 34 dots!)

Once that is done, it is time to figure out what you want to shake in the card. I used a variety of the stars in the planner kit, some fuchsia sequins, gold and silver sequins and iridescent stars. I organized them into a small section of the card to make sure they'd fit. I could have fit more.

I added the yellow right around and tucked them into the back to make it look more like a planet. I also added little craters to it.

Lastly I inked the side of my quote and added some of the star stickers for embellishment. I punched a hole in the top, attached from string and added it to my gift!

The March PopfizzPaper Planner Kit was one of my favorite yet. I have not gotten into using journaling cards to journal with, so I tried to come up with an idea for those beautiful cards that Brooklynne and Dani created. Postcards became the answer for me. I started off with grabbing an old fashioned Postcard embossing folder and my 2 favorite cards of the kit. Then I gathered the PopFizzPaper stickers I was going to use to help create these postcards to send to friends. 

I embossed the two cards with the embossing folder and thus created the background for my cards. I used half of the cardstock from the kit ( the actual information card) to add thickness to one of the cards and  hide the writing that was on one side.  This created two bases for my postcards. 

I  used the Washi strips from the kit and the Build Your own Stickers to create a scene on one of the postcards. I also used the Succulent Washi Tape from the March kit for decoration. This created the decorative elements of my postcards. 

I chose the PopFizzPaper Mail Time stickers to add a final detail. I mean, who doesn't want a "PenPal" letter sent to them with these awesome hand-drawn stickers?  That completed my Hand-made postcards from the March Planner Kit from PopFizzPaper. I added stamps and am now ready to send them off with a short note.  I hope this has inspired you to create something simple for a friend using wonderful products. 

Cards are expensive at any store. Creating your own is a great way to send a personalized card to anyone. The March PopFizzPaper Planner Kit had some hand-created journal cards. I decided it is a great kit to make a personalized card with and send to a friend.  I started by gathering my supplies. I chose to use as many of the products that I could from the kit. Then added a few of my own supplies to make this card.

I began by selecting the Natural Beauty information card that came in the kit. This would be the background for my card front. I cut the card stock into 5.25" x 4" to fit on a card base of  5.5" x 4.25".  I took the journal card with the green stripes and wood grain and cut along the diagonal. These two pieces would be a part of the card front and the inside of the card. 

I selected a natural colored piece of card stock from my stash and cut a small strip for my front sentiment. Then I cut another piece 5.25" x 4" for the inside. I placed the green striped journal card piece on the natural card stock and stamped the sentiment "Thinking Of  You" on the bottom. The stamp messed the word "You" up, so I decided to use a green page flag from the Planner kit and stamp and cover my mistake. I left room to write, glued it to the inside of the card base, and the inside of the card was complete.

The wood grain journal card piece became part of the front of the card when I placed it over the Natural Beauty card stock. I began the front by using the strip of natural colored card stock and stamping my sentiment. I "flagged" the end, creating a banner. I used the Washi tape, that came in the kit, and added some to that banner.  Popping it up with foam dots, I placed it on the front to the left side. One of my favorite sheets in the March kit  is the " Create your Own plant" sticker sheet. I selected a pot and a plant and used some of the "washi" strips from the kit to create a new element on the front of the card. It is my favorite part of the card. :) I added a few sequins and beads, that came with the kit, to complete the front and it looked amazing!

This card turned out as one of my favorite projects yet. It was made using elements of the March PopFizzPaper Planner Kit. Next time you need a quick card, use what you have. Create something and give a piece of you in your art. I am no expert card maker but this kit made it easy to create something wonderful and meaningful.
