Let's grab our supplies and get started with our journaling. I choose to journal for the holiday week of Thanksgiving. I was traveling this entire week so I didn't have anything to plan out that week since everything I did was just spur of the moment since I was on vacation. All you need is basically a notebook or even a sheet of paper folded in half; you don't need to go out to buy any thing for this. You will also need monthly PopFizzPaper journal prompts sticker sheet(s), decorative stickers if you please, days of the week and date stickers [optional] you can totally write the days in as well, a pen and some cute washi tape.

Lately I have started to have a bit more of a busy day than usual with a few new courses, and my Roller Derby training kicking into higher gear. My life is a madhouse and unfortunately some important things are starting to slip my mind. So on top of my weekly Planning I have thought about starting to use daily pages ie. a Day Designer. Luckily for me before I lay out any major money on a Day Designer they have pages that I can download easily for free.

So armed with those I've been keeping more on track of my to do's and working in all the important things for the day. Now I am one of those planners who have to decorate their planner in order to even look at it. So I've been thinking about how I can decorate the Day Designer pages with what I have. Then it struck me, I could use the left over weekly kits I have (which are many) to decorate daily pages.

My first step is Laying down all the washi strips including framing washi along the top and bottom. The left over washi strip I have left over from doing my sidebar in my Happy Planner fit perfectly in the Daily Gratitude space. If they are easy to write over I like filling the top four boxes with Washi too. This covers up the printed headers but that's fine I plan on covering them up anyway. Now on to the Headers and Stickers.

I replace the most of the headers with headers from the kit, especially the "today" and "to do" sections. I also like to add a "to clean" header sectioning off the last four line (three check boxes) where I can add what is on my cleaning schedule this week. Next I like to use icon stickers anywhere that I have something significant, like when my alarm goes off, when training starts, and what I plan on watching to unwind in the evening (I'm working my way through the Gilmore Girls in order to be prepared for the reunion show). I don't really need the notes section so I use a check list and film icon. 

Last thing to do is fill in all the info on what I'm hoping to achieve and what I have scheduled. I put a dot at the end of a task that has been carried over from the day before and two dots if it was the day before that. Almost always two dot items get moved to the Top Three section. I decided to use the former notes section to tick off the course subjects I wanted to complete "today". All I have to do now is start ticking off things that need to be done.
