Hello Hello PopFizzPaper! It’s Juanita again and I am just giddy to be a part of the PopFizzPaper creative team! YAY! And today I am sharing a fun way to use extra appointment boxes to organize important papers and mail.  We have an important paper sorter on our counter where we put bills, tax info, receipts and any other important papers that we need on hand. As you guessed it this is has turned into a hot mess that has taken over our entire counter. Yikes! 

PopFizzPaper appointment boxes to the rescue!!!

I had some regular sized appointment labels left over from the watercolor floral weekly kit and I had some snappy white binder clips.

 I wrote down the different categories to organize our important papers on the stickers.

And placed them on the binder clips.

The neat thing is that these appointment labels are the PERFECT size for medium sized binder clips (if curious I got mine from Target) The stickers were a little bit long but you just wrap the sticker under the clip and no one is the wiser.

The last thing I did was put all my neatly organized papers into our paper sorter and Voilà! All is right in the world again. Plus it looks super cute!

Hi everyone! My name is Brittany and I’m so excited to be doing a guest post here at PopFizzPaper! I’m a diehard POPFIZZFAN! I’m a PopFizzPerson, I like other PopFizzPeople… just consider me a PopFizzPfanatic! Today I’m sharing the pocket letter I made using the supplies from the May Planner Kit! I’m relatively new to the world of pocket letters and tend to gravitate towards over-embellishment but when I saw the gorgeous papers created by Dani and Brooklynne I knew they had to be the focal point of my project!

Let’s get started!

Whenever I create a pocket letter I like to pull out everything I think I might use and spread it out on my desk. So I pulled out the May kit and a few other tools and embellishments I thought would come in handy.

Since I knew I wasn’t going to be using too many embellishments I decided to create dimension in each pocket by “fussy” cutting around the designs and layering different sheets together.

On the bottom row I took the floral design from one page, the greenery from another, and layered them together on the yellow floral page.

In the middle I kept it simple layering pink and blue watercolor pages.

I wanted to put more florals in the top row, keep the blue background, and still have dimension so I again “fussy” cut the floral design but layered it on the same blue paper.

Once I had each card figured out I started embellishing with the stamps that came in the kit! I really love these little butterflies and the intricate corner stamp!

While I had the inkpad out I used a trick I learned from former Creative Team member Vanessa! She is always adding dimension to her projects with a little black ink around the edges and I’m obsessed with the effect it gives so I like to do it too!

I wanted to incorporate the washi tape and stickers from the kit but was afraid they’d look too dark against the soft watercolors of the paper however, once the edges had been inked up they looked perfect together! I especially like how the purple of the paper peeks through the transparent background of the washi tape!

I pulled out this sticker from my stash that incorporated most of the colors of the paper but was missing purple. I solved that problem by layering it with a dark purple flower from the kit!

After I had all of the cards embellished and in their pockets I decided to add a few details to the outside of the sleeve. I added a few flat back pearls and a Heidi Swapp acetate piece that says “Smile”.

At this point all that was left was my shaker pocket! I don’t have a fusing tool so I use double-sided tape to close up my shakers!

I pulled out all the little sparkly bits I wanted to add and then I stuffed that pocket full! I really tried to use a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes and I love how it turned out! Although I’m not sure I can really call it a shaker pocket when it is too full to shake…

Here’s how the whole pocket letter looks put together!

The colors of the paper reminded me of the amazing Arizona sunsets from when I was a kid growing up outside of Phoenix and I tried to recreate that in the pocket letter. The yellow peeks out from behind the flowers like the sun before it goes down with the “sky” fading from pink to blue to purple. I know it is simple when it comes to embellishments but the paper itself is so intricate that I’m glad I let it speak for itself instead of covering any of it up!

 Before I go I thought I would also share how I wrapped up this pocket letter! 

I simply layered together a mint doily, gold doily, white doily, washi tape, PFP sticker, cardstock embellishment and tied it in a bow!

There’s my entire project! I hope you enjoyed seeing how I used the supplies from the PopFizzPlanner Kit to create a pocket letter! I’ve loved having this out on my desk all month as I worked on the blog post and I think I might just keep it for myself instead of swapping it with one of my pen pals! I feel like that’s breaking the official code of pocket lettering (ya know… if we had one!!)

I have a confession to make, I hate to do lists! I loathe making them and loathe seeing things not get ticked off. More importantly I generally don't have many things to write on a to do list. So it used to frustrate me to have these gorgeous check boxes left over from our weekly kits. 

Then I had an ta-da moment! I do have regular tasks (designing stickers for example) that have three steps that each need to be done. These check boxes would be a good way of checking where I am on each design I'm working on for that week. Especially since I tend to do say all the drawing at once I occasionally get lost. 

I find  it easiest to do all my other planning first, this both lets me see how busy my week is and thus how much I can actually expect to finish but also what days to avoid. I just love this gorgeous rainbow kit and really wish I had bought more of it!

Next on all my free days I put my little 3 check boxes. This isn't the task for that day but more a place throughout the week where I will track my progress, achieving anymore in one week tends to difficult.

And really all there is left to do is write down the sticker design and the steps digitalize and silhouette process. These are the three important steps I need to track, and this way I can go through and tick off what I have drawn and what I have digitalized. No more duplicated work and no more wasted stickers. Hello Hello PopFizzPaper!

I’m Juanita and I am jazzed to be a guest blogger this month for the May PopFizz Planner Kit. I instantly fell in love with the watercolor floral stickers and papers that were included in the kit.  The patterns and colors just make me so giddy for spring, I wanted to make something I could display around the house.

So, I came up with a calendar and personalized sticky notes.

But wait there’s more. Tell ‘em what else they’re getting Shelia!

When all the sticky notes are used up, you are left with a cute little springy quote that will still be fun to display!

“How it this possible?” you may ask. Never fear! for I shall be your guide. Keep your hands and arms inside the car and please no flash photography.

I used the kit description card, one sheet of the watercolor paper, and the watercolor floral planner stickers (all from the May Kit).

The only extras you will need are repositionable adhesive, white paper and a calendar layout. 

Now, I have included here a May calendar with the same font. Just in case you wanted to make a calendar for next month since April is halfway over.

 First step is to cut the watercolor printed paper down to the size of the description card (5 ½ “ x 8 ½”). I had a huge internal struggle over cutting this beautiful paper. I just couldn’t to it, its so pretty. But trust me, its all worth it in the end. Just make it quick like a Band-Aid.

Keep that paper trimmer out and cut your sticky notes. You can use any color paper you choose, I liked white, just make sure your notes measure 2” x 2 ¾”. Cut out seven of them. 

The last thing you need to cut out is the quote (which is also included in the attached PDF file). Feel free to decorate your quote with some of the decorative floral stickers from the kit. Just make sure and trim them to make clean edges. I think it looks super cute with the font.

And now we assemble! Glue the watercolor printed-paper to the description card (covering the description); attach the calendar and the quote.

The calendar is done! Lets move on to the sticky notes. Decorate your 2”x 2 ¾” pieces of paper with stickers from the floral planer stickers.  I used “To Do” headers, long checklists and decorative stickers. But you could use appointment boxes, icons, teardrops whatever tickles your fancy. You can also make horizontal sticky notes if you wanted too!

Run your repositionable adhesive along the top edge.  I preferred a repositionable tape to wet glue.

Once everyone is all taped its time to stack ‘em. To make sure that your sticky notes won’t tear up or lift any of the notes underneath them, stick the note to your skin first before you stick it to another piece of paper. Doing this will ensure a clean removal from the stack.

With all the notes stacked on top of each other they work like legit post-its.  

Now the very last step on our journey of calendar sticky note making is to put the sticky notes on top of the quote

And there ya go! an adorable calendar with personalized sticky notes!  I put mine on a table top easel I found at walmart but you could put it on your fridge or bulletin board.

Hey guys, Dani here! I've been using my personal planner a lot lately, so I knew I wanted to make some dividers using the floral papers in the May PopFizz Planner Kit. I make my dividers as low-tech as possible, usually not even laminating them. #aintgotnotimeforthat

Now, I know there are a million tutorials out there on how to make dividers and cut files and fancy machines and whatnot, this is just how I do it. I just use paper, scissors, a pencil, hole punch, and a set of template dividers (or old ones I have lying around). 

I just grab a piece of the paper I want to use and trace around my template. I really like doing it this way because I can position the design of the paper exactly where I want it to be on the finished product. If you weren't picky about where the pattern ends up on your dividers (or if you have a uniformly patterned paper), you could get 3 dividers out of one piece of 8.5"x11" paper (the size that comes in our kit).

Then it's just the task of tracing and cutting out each divider with some old-school scissors. When they are all cut out, I line them up and use a binder clip to keep them all together. I also clip in the template, but you could just trace where the holes need to be. Time to punch!

All done! I varied the pattern of the dividers by changing up the placement of the template when I was tracing them out. I like how each one is different! At this point, you could laminate them, but since I change out my dividers pretty often and am gentle on them, I decided to leave them as-is.

I have something a little different for you today, let's call it a tin letter.

For this project I used the April Planner Kit to create a letter with goodies to put inside a tin can I had left over from another project.

When you open the tin, it greets you with a nice letter to explain what this is. You can pull the letter out to reveal all of it's glory! I used one of the papers from the kit as my base and adorned it with diecuts from my collection, stickers from the kit and more.

I also used some of the quote stickers for embellishments.

I cut out some stars from the paper to make a one of a kind paper clip with a little tulle and my laminator.

For the last "card" I used the star sequins in the kit to make a little shaker pocket and adorned it with a quote sticker and a star enamel that also came in the kit.

Today I'm sharing with you my new passion Project Life. Back in the day I used to scrapbook but I found it a bit of a todo for me. and the pages were big and the papers were expensive, and eventually I just stopped. When I first started seeing project life popping up it piqued my interest, but I pushed it aside as something not for me. Sure enough those around me started doing it and well I just fell into it and decided to start (I blame Serena Bee and Diana). Anyway I only do 6 x 8 pages for now which is small and easy for me to manage I'm sure soon enough I'll do a larger size but for now I'm enjoying this size. 

First things I did was gather up my supplies. I know I'm doing a 3 card lay out using one 4 x 6 and two 3 x 4's. I wasn't sure which picture I was going to use but I started with the 4 x 6.

I had this 4 x 6 picture of my dog Mac, and I was looking at that and I thought wouldn't it look great is back was sleeping in the galaxy. So with a little fussy cutting I was able to get him laying there snoozing in the big galaxy land. I outlined him a little in black and then embellished away. I especially like the skinny appointment box as a date box idea. 

The next pocket I kept simple cause it was going to be a shaker pocket of sorts, so just some silver glitter washi, and a wood chip heart. I'm using this glitter that came as a bonus in the April kit. 

The final pocket I wanted to feature some of the stunning star paper so I used it to make a little pocket for a tag. I kept the tag really simple with just "BEST DOG" written out in glitter alphas, I added another wood chip that says "Yep, this" and a few more of the enamel stars that also came with the kit. 

Finally I put everything in the page protector. As I don't have a Fuse tool I just used clear tap along the top to seal the shaker pocket shut. I really love how this page went together and especially love how simple and easy it was to do. Best news is I used only a fraction of the gorgeous galaxy papers so I have plenty more for future spreads. Today I am going to share with all of you how I created a galaxy themed pocket letter! I am using mostly the items that came in the April PopFizzPaper planner kit.

The very first step is to gather all the supplies you will need. 

I decided to go with the paper that had the "Wish upon a star" quote. I measured it out and cut it to fit into each pocket sleeve. 

For the first pocket I kept it simple and just added some of star stickers to the bottom of the quote. I later went back and added a couple strips of washi tape to spice it up a bit. I did the same thing with the card to the right of that one. 

This next pocket is the one I decided to make into the shaker pocket. I added the sequins that came with the kit as well as some others that I had that I hoped would match well. I used a fuse tool to seal the pocket. 

The next pocket I decorated simply using a few strips of washi tape layered on top of a strip of scrap paper. I love how the silver glitter made it pop! 

The card on the right I just added strips of washi tape and more of the star stickers. I didn't want to add too much to the pockets that had the quote. 

For the next pocket I added a strip of scrap paper and stapled it to the card. I tucked some tags inside to make it a little pocket to hold the tags. I then added some alpha letters to spell out "tags" but you couldn't really see them with the bold background. So I added a strip of washi tape. 

Next I did one of my favorite techniques. I added strips of washi vertically and cut the ends into flag shapes. And at the bottom of the card I added a strip of scrap paper so you could see the alphas I added to spell out "washi". 

For the next pocket I added a strip of scrap paper down the center of the card. Next I layered some washi to the side of it and cut the ends into a flag shape. On the opposite side I added some star stickers. 

And for the last pocket I first added some strips of scrap paper and cut the ends into flag shapes. I layered them on top of each other for a little added dimension. I also added some star stickers to keep the theme going. Then I took a strip of silver glitter washi tape and ran it across the empty space. I then added a cute quote sticker in the corner. 

And this is what the pocket letter looks like all complete, as well as the backside so you can see a little sneak peak of how I filled it. I think it came out super cute! And I was so excited with how many supplies I could use from the PopFizzPaper kit.
