Coordinating my DIYfish Inserts with my Happy Planner

If you follow me on Instagram then you probably know that I have been on the hunt for a good solid travel planner. I recently started using the DIYfish inserts for a Traveler's Notebook and I'm really happy with them, they are the perfect combination of Weekly and Daily format.

One of my favourite things about these inserts is that I can easily decorate the week to match my Happy Planner spread. As you can see here I used the lush and stunning Beauty Babe kit which I just looooooove. This was a great kit to use as it came with so many extra stickers!

The first thing I do is decorate the weekly overview page and the notes sections to jazz the whole thing up. Each week I use this section differently, I jot down notes from phone calls or meetings, todo lists, mood tracking, etc. I love that these habit trackers work soooo well for my dog's meals for the week, this way when I'm out of the house I can tell my flatmate what to feed him.

I love the way these pages came out, and they feel so happy and friendly! They are ready to document my week! 

I decided to show you just the Saturday as it has both the weekly look and what I do for marking the weekend. I use the same washi that I used in my planner along the sides of the pages, using my paper trimmer to remove any excess. Next I cover the bottom line with a thin washi, luckily I have this thin gold washi that matches the one from the kit. If I don't have a matching thin washi I just use a paper trimmer to trim the washi down to size.

Lastly for a normal weekday I add a today sticker and cover up the check boxes with some great check flags. Simple, fun but productive. The weekend scriptbanners look amazing and fit perfectly under the chronodex. I only mark Saturday, but you could use on on Sunday too!!!

Using Flag Half Boxes to Take Notes
It's back to school season! It's such a bittersweet time of the year with summer ending and classes starting, but here's a way to look forward to it! I'm going to show you how I use PFP stickers to take notes while studying. Not only does it make my notes prettier to look at, but I find it to actually help me learn the material better as well! You also don't need a thousand stickers- think simple so that it's easy on your eyes and not too time consuming! 
I take my study notes in my Chic Sparrow Odyssey traveler's notebook in the extra wide size. My inserts are the large Moleskine Cahier notebooks. I decided to use my pastel sticker collection from PFP (it's my fave!). 
The first thing I do when I begin my notes is give my page a title. I like to use some pretty lettering to make it stand out at the top of the page. Once I have my title, I use one of these tab stickers on the edge of my page so that when I'm flipping through my notes, I can easily turn to this important topic. 
The next thing I like to do is make a subheading. It's important to break down your ideas into smaller chunks so that your brain can easily process all of the information. I used a banner doodle to indicate my subheading (it doesn't have to be perfect). I used the halfboxes with flags to further break down the material. 
In the spaces next to the halfboxes, I filled in small details of each pertaining topic using bullet points. I left some room on the bottom so that I could add to this topic once I attend the lecture. In this section, I can put in any notes that my professor highlights. 
 
I try not to overwhelm my pages with stickers because then it defeats the purpose of making my notes easy to read. Here's the final look:
