Planner Clips 5 Ways with Tombow and Lawn Fawn
Hey y'all! Today the Tombow Design Team is teaming up with the Lawn Fawn Design Team to share some awesome ways to use Tombow and Lawn Fawn products! You may have landed here from Lizzy's post (hello!) - if you happened to stumble upon my post via the randomness of the internet, you can start the hop from the beginning over at Lawn Fawn if you wish. :) Either way, you'll find the lineup for the rest of the hop at the bottom of this post - make sure you check out everyone's awesome projects! And don't forget to visit the Tombow blog to enter to win some fantastic prizes from Tombow and Lawn Fawn! Happy hopping!
For my post in this hop, I'll be sharing 5 different styles of planner clips you can make using Tombow adhesives and Lawn Fawn dies and cardstock. The supplies for each style will be listed in the tutorial. Let's get started!
SIMPLE CLIP HEART CLIP
- Say Cheese, Again dies by Lawn Fawn
- Raspberry cardstock by Lawn Fawn
- turquoise glitter paper
- Tombow MONO Permanent Adhesive+
- Tombow Foam Tape
- paperclip
- die cutting machine (I use this one!)
For this clip, use the heart die in the Say Cheese, Again set to cut out 2 hearts from the pink cardstock and one heart from the turquoise glitter paper. On the turquoise heart, cut along the dashed line to make a slightly smaller heart. Glue the glitter heart onto one of the pink ones, then flip over. Fill the back of your layered heart piece with foam tape, add a paperclip, then press on the second pink heart. Done!
SHAKER HEART FRAME CLIP

STACKED INSTA FRAME CLIP
- Say Cheese, Again dies by Lawn Fawn
- Raspberry cardstock by Lawn Fawn
- turquoise glitter paper
- photo, printed to size
- sequins
- Tombow Xtreme Permanent Adhesive
- paperclip
- die cutting machine (I use this one!)
Take your photo and mount it behind the turquoise glitter frame. Next, take the layered photo piece and flip it over. Use the Xtreme runner to glue down a paperclip, then mount the pink frame on the back to cover up the top of glued paperclip. Add some sequins with the Xtreme runner for some extra sparkle!
FOLDED BANNER DIVIDER CLIP
- Cole's ABC dies by Lawn Fawn
- Raspberry cardstock by Lawn Fawn
- turquoise glitter paper
- purple glitter paper
- Tombow MONO Permanent Adhesive+
- Tombow Xtreme Permanent Adhesive
- paperclips
- die cutting machine (I use this one!)
Cut out enough letters from the glitter papers using the Cole's ABC dies to create the divider category words you'd like. Take 3x4 pieces of cardstock and fold them in half lengthwise, then unfold. Use the Permanent+ Adhesive to glue down the letters on to the bottom half of the folded piece of cardstock.
Flip over to the inside of the folded cardstock, then use the Xtreme adhesive to coat the inside folded area. Add a paperclip, fold down the cardstock, and cut the edges into a flag shape. Add to your planner!
LAYERED FLORAL CLIP
- Pretty Poppies dies by Lawn Fawn
- Raspberry cardstock by Lawn Fawn
- turquoise glitter paper
- purple glitter paper
- Tombow Xtreme Permanent Adhesive
- paperclips
- die cutting machine (I use this one!)
Use the Pretty Poppies die to cut out several layers from your different papers. Start layering your petal pieces in whatever way you like best, gluing down each layer with the Tombow Xtreme adhesive. Once you have your flower how you want it, flip over to reveal the back side. Again use the Xtreme to adhere your paperclip. Continue layering more petal pieces on the backside so that both sides are pretty!
