Hello everyone I have a fun little project here for you of how I decorate the month overview page in my Happy Planner. I feel like with the Happy Planner I have finally found planner peace, and it's disc bound. I love how easy it is to add things to it and how quick it is to expand the ring size (for a crazy period I had Dec 2015 - Dec 2017 in one planner)! But my favourite thing is the month overview pages, where I can record birthdays, important dates and a snapshot of what is happening in my life overall!

The only thing is I find them a bit boring at times and not always the look I want. Especially in September as it is my Birthday Month! Also it's a bit Pink for me, so I pulled out my Tombow water soluble crayons and painted over the currently section in blues and greens to match the gemstone papers I'm going to use.

After that was done I ran some of the glitter washi from the add on kit along the left side edge for some pzazz. Not the washi was a bit wider than I wanted so I just trimmed it roughly down the middle with my paper trimmer. The top calendar section I find redundant and the dark blue was a bit much so I covered it up with a strip of the large white gem outline paper which I just loooooooove!

One thing I knew was that the sticky notes from the September kit would look GORGEOUS in place of the standard birthday box and Important dates lines. The sticky notes were about half an inch too wide so I carefully trimmed off a quarter of an inch from both sides and the required amount from the bottom each of which were different. Using my favourite Tombow mono permanent tape runner I secured both stickey notes in place. 

Next to tidy it up some I used the other piece of glitter washi to separate the two halves and ground those sticky notes. Doesn't it just sparkle so heavenly! Finally my absolute favourite gem washi along the bottom to hide the American holidays that don't apply to me. I love how simple and stunning this washi is. 

Now I just need a few final touches to finish the look off, like holographic stickers. Creative Team member Jennifer got me the Me And My Big Ideas, Holographic sticker sheet for my birthday and I love it so two quote stickers were the first things to go down and then from there I use these tiny Holographic stars in the top left corner of each section .

It didn't really feel finished and then I remembered the glitter enamel stars from April kit! Something was bothering me about the top left of the page and in general the left side of the banner. It needed something. Out cam my 2 inch circle punch and the blue on blue gem pattern paper, ct that sucker in half an BAM on she went. I'm not sure why that was needed but it was. 

All I need to do now is fill it out! I was easily able to do the birthdays and important dates. When it cam to the Currently section, there were a few things I knew I could put down easily but the rest will have to be filled out as the month happens. Hello everyone!  It’s Jennifer here, and I wanted to share with you some of the ways I like to use sticky notes in my planner.  Of course, sticky notes are great for pre-planning your activities in your planner until you’re ready to decorate.  Did you know that they’re also really great décor elements?  This week, I’ll be using the September Popfizzpaper kit to decorate both my Happy Planner and my personal planner.  The personal planner inserts I use are the Sew Much Crafting vertical week on 2 pages.  Grab your tape runner or glue stick and let’s get started!

First, I will walk you through the sticky notes I used for the week in my Happy Planner.  Did you know that the width of the sticky notes included with the Popfizzpaper kits are almost exactly the same size as the width of two Happy Planner boxes?  Here, I used two sheets of sticky notes to cover up the part of the Saturday and Sunday boxes. 

Two sheets placed next to each other like this cover up about two and a quarter full boxes for each day.  This gives the effect of having double box stickers on your weekend!  Don’t you just love the gems and the blue watercolor background? 

This week, I layered my usual washi strip weekend banner and the kit weekend banner over the sticky notes.  This gives your planner a very polished look.  I also trimmed down a sticky note to cover up the monthly calendar in the top left of the spread.

These sticky notes will look great in personal planner spreads too!  First, I got my super sharp craft scissors and fussy cut the gem banner out of one sheet to use as a weekend banner!  Isn’t that adorable?!  I was able to get a couple of blue watercolor half boxes out of that same sheet too.  I also made a couple of full boxes: one with the gems at the top, and one with the gems at the side.  The one with the gems at the side will look so cute paired with some of the weekly kit dot stickers to make a checklist!

Hey Everyone! I’m so excited to be sharing with you a dashboard I created for my A5 size planner that functions as both decoration and storage but can be easily switched out whenever I want to change the color scheme! It’s basically like a making a mini pocket letter for yourself but instead of filling it with goodies to give away you can store supplies for on the go planning!

All you really need is a 9 pocket trading card sheet protector and some paper but decorating is the best part- so grab your embellishments too! Here is a look at what I pulled out for this project.

I have a process video below showing the project from start to finish but here’s a quick rundown:

1. Trim the sheet protector down to 4 pockets. (Don’t toss out the extras- you can repurpose them for other projects)
2. Decorate your inserts however you’d like! I used motivating quotes and phrases to give me a little boost every time I open my planner.
3. Cover the punched holes with washi on the front and back and then using a divider you already have in your planner mark and punch the new holes so it will fit the rings in your binder.
4. Fill the back of the pockets with the supplies you want to have with you on the go- washi, stickers, tabs, paperclips, etc. Gift cards and store loyalty cards also fit perfectly in there!

If you aren’t looking to add more storage to your planner but like the idea of a pocket style dashboard I really like using this 4 pocket sleeve to display pocket letters from my pen pals. I slip in my 4 favorite cards they made and I can enjoy them until my next swap!

If you have not gotten caught up in the Pokemon Go fad then you are super lucky. If you have gotten caught up in it then you are just like me. Perhaps you are reliving your childhood doing something you wished you could do years and years ago. Today with the age of smartphones we can all finally be Pokemon Trainers!

For those of us that like to track all the things we do I decided to make a Pokemon Go! Record keeper. It allows me to note the bigger pokemon I catch on a day. I can track my steps and of course what I ate and drank (because this is important)!

To do this I utilized leftover stickers from previous pop fizz paper kits. For this particular week I chose my leftovers from my Team USA kit and the new Pokemon Go! Stickers. First I wanted to make sure I noted where I went so I just used a appointment flag. Then I wanted to track steps and nutrition. For this I just used the icons and put them under the flag. The most important part was keeping track of the Pokemon I caught on the trip. In order to do this I used the half box heart checklists.

I also wanted to make sure that I wrote on the stickers with a pen that would be bold and visible. For this kind of thing I like to use a black PaperMate Flair. I also wanted to track where I plan to go each day of the week. I like to go pokemon hunting for a little trip each day and make sure I work this into my daily plans. This Pokemon Go tracker is really helping me keep track especially since my nephew likes to check in and see what new Pokemon I have every day!

Hello, everyone!  It’s Jennifer here with a fun way to spice up your weekends in your planner!  Sure, weekend banners are awesome... but weekend banners with washi sticker flags are even better!  Let’s get started!  The newly reformatted Popfizzpaper weekly kits now come with washi sticker strips!  Each weekly set has three different designs of washi strips, and each design has two different sizes of washi strips: three quarter box sized strips and four narrower header sized strips.  We’re going to use these stickers to make a banner!

This design uses all three patterns of washi stickers: three quarter box sized strips of design A; two quarter box sized strips of design B; and 4 header sized strips of design C.  So go ahead and decide which design you’d like to use for A, B, and C. 

Starting with your A strips, slightly bend one end of the strips so the corners touch, and make a diagonal cut with your scissors down towards the end of the strips as illustrated in the photo.  This will give you a cute “v” shaped flag when you open the sticker back up.  Trim the strip for length, if you’d like, then place one A strip at each end where you’d like your weekend banner to go.  Add your last A strip in the middle.

Cut your pattern B strips into flags as well, trim the length as you wish, and lay the B strips down between the A strips.  One thing to note, you don’t have to worry about having the tops of the banners all even because we’re going to cover the tops with the actual weekend banner sticker at the end!  You should have a small gap in between each strip.  Cut your 4 design C strips into flags as well and use them to cover the small gaps between your wider strips.  You should end up with the pattern A C B C A C B C A.  Finally, place the actual weekend banner sticker from your kit over the tops of your washi flags.

Hey everyone, Sabrina here! Here to show you a quick, easy and fun way to create your own framed calendar. I don’t know about you all but during the fall my bod definitely is in a hibernation mode; hiding that food I’ve been storing from holidays or special events all the way until middle of next spring.

As a personal goal for myself I decided to start eating healthy and working out again. Because if I let myself I could eat pizza every day which is not good. So what better way than to start at the beginning of fall instead of waiting until a month or two before summer. Yes, I am one of those people who do that because I love all the delicious foods that come with the fall season. But not this time this calendar is going to help me focus!

I am going to show you how to create a calendar for… you guessed it; a workout schedule! Enough babbling let’s jump right into this…

So here are some supplies you will need:

1. A picture frame
2. A blank printable calendar
3. Washi tape
4. Stickers
5. Dry erasable markers
6. Optional: Tape runner or glue

First off, put aside your picture frame and dry easers all you need to begin is your blank calendar and some stickers. You can create your own calendar in word or excel or you can print one off the internet. In my printable collection I had a blank Day Designer calendar that I printed months ago so I’m just going to use that. I grabbed my PopFizzPaper sticker collection and pulled out some days of the week stickers, a month of the year sticker, lots of icons and some summer vibes quotes.

Start by sticking down your days of the week. Next is optional but it’s to grab some washi and decorate around the calendar. I ended up putting down my “August” month of the year sticker first before my washi and guess what… when I peeled it off I wasn’t careful so I ripped it a little. No worries though; no need to waste the sticker just grab a tape runner, put some tape on the back and you’re good to continue! If you make a mistake with a sticker gently and patiently peel it up don’t be like me and just rip it off like Band-Aid. Once you’ve gotten your washi down, either write at the top the month or use a sticker like me. Next is grab those workout icons and start pre planning your week [or entire month.]

For fun, I made each week a different color. I always end up having left over icons from my weekly kits so those are the icons that I am using in case you’re wondering why the sizing of some icons are smaller than others. Since my calendar boxes are small I could only fit one icon inside; I originally want to do two icons one related to work out and another for meals but I figured that would just be too cluttered. I actually like having this calendar just for my exercises that I plan to do for the week. I used 3 different icons:

• The shoe is for the type of exercise I plan to do that day

• The dumbbell is for cardio/ gym [if I decided to go to a gym]

• The scale is for weigh in to check how I am doing; which is a personal preference

Now that I have placed all my icons on the week days that I plan to work out I went ahead and just added a few motivational and fun quotes. Along with a couple of emoji stickers and since it’s Olympics month I’ve add a couple of Olympic symbols for extra motivation. I will be out of town one weekend this month so that little road sticker reminds me that even though I will be out of town to get that work out in and more in likely I will set a reminder alarm to get my workout in. When all your stickers are set in the perfect place you want them to be, grab a pen and write in the number of the day or feel free to use a sticker if you have the space. Once the decoration process is complete its time to place it into the picture frame.

You may have to cut down the sides if need be but make sure when you place it into the frame it’s exactly how you want it be because remember you’re going to be writing on the glass of the frame itself so line it up good and give yourself enough writing space on the sides. Now that your calendar is in the frame you’re ready to grab your dry easer marker and start filling in your week [or month.] Since I like to switch it up with different exercises I ended up categorizing what I plan to do for that specific day. Example: Mondays are leg days, Tuesdays are arm days, Wednesday is abs, Friday is cardio, etc. I also like to have at least one or two rest days a week depending on how hard I work myself. But you do you! Because you are writing on the glass you can remove, add or switch any of your work outs. Awesome, right? Well, that’s it! Go ahead and place it up on the wall behind your desk or stand it up on your desk.

With the Rio Olympics upon us the fire I feel for competitive sports rises to the surface. I have always had a passion for the Olympics. Whether it is summer or winter there are certain sports I love to watch. The best thing about the Olympics in 2016 is they will be the most live they have ever been for those of us at home. With Rio only being an hour ahead of the eastern time zone we are going to get so much live coverage which really excites me when it comes to gymnastics.

When the olympics start I am not going to be at home so I decided to create a Rio Olympics watching schedule based on what was available from the internet for my personal planner. I use a recollections planner from Michael’s that I absolutely love. I used the basic note paper that Michael’s provides and along with Pop Fizz Paper olympics tracking stickers I was able to create a fun way to track the most important things of interest to me.

The supplies I used:

• Pop fizz paper olympics tracking stickers

• Pop fizz paper rainbow tv show trackers

• Gold and white polka dot washi from a previous Pop Fizz Paper planner Kit

• Blue Michael’s thin washi

• Pop fizz paper Team USA kit 3 check flag to do lists

Using the minimal amount of information available on when exactly things will be aired I gave myself space to mark times as well as events. I also have space to write in more should I want to as well as use all the sports specific stickers included in the Olympics tracking set.

I was able to figure out the dates of the Gymnastics finals and I was able to mark those. The rest will be a mark as I go.

I did mark the Opening ceremonies and closing ceremonies with little TV icons from Pop Fizz Paper as opposed to the tracker stickers that are a box. I am going to use this schedule I made to remind me to set my TiVo from my phone everyday and to check and see what events are happening each day. My most important sports this year are Gymnastics, Swimming, Golf, Volleyball including Sand Volleyball and of course some of the track events.

Hello!  It’s Jennifer again!  I’m back to show all you white-space planners a quick and easy way to adapt checklist stickers to your Happy Planner!  Let’s plan!  This week I’m using the re-release of the Chasing Rainbows kit for the Happy Planner.

Of course all PopFizzPaper kits all come with full box heart checklists in either Erin Condren or Happy Planner size.  I’m more of a white space planner, and I prefer using the old-fashioned checklist stickers that are also included in the kits.  However, if you’re using a Happy Planner, you’re left with a rather unattractive gap at the bottom of the box because the checklists are sized for Erin Condren planners.

With this simple technique, you can eliminate the gap and give your planner a nice, pulled-together look at the same time.  First, I lay down the top row of headers.  Immediately under that top row of headers, I put down a strip of coordinating washi.  Don’t put your checklist sticker down just yet.  Decide what you’re going to do with the “afternoon” headers.  This week, I decided to use the gradient full boxes with rainbow kit.  Of course you can also use a second set of headers. 

Once you have the stickers down covering your second row of headers, go ahead and carefully lay down your checklist stickers in the top row of boxes.  To ensure a perfect fit, I layer the checklist sticker ever so slightly on top of the washi.  The flag shaped bottom of the checklist sticker will layer nicely on top of the stickers on the second row.  All 6 circles for your checklist should line up nicely with the white space area, leaving you with plenty of room for your to dos for the day!
