#CREEPYCRAFTYDAYS // Candy Corn Bag Flip Tutorial & Process Video
Hi, y'all! Today I'm sharing a candy corn themed bag flip, perfect for Halloween happy mail! In today's video, I share how to create custom watercolored backgrounds, a fun candy corn diecut, and cute little crepe paper rosette wands. I also share how to alter a notebook and create a fun file folder to fill up with goodies for your penpal. Check out my tips and tricks on how to create this project in the video below.
~*~ SHOP THE VIDEO ~*~
- Tombow Xtreme Adhesive
- Tombow Xtreme Tabs
- Tombow MONO Adhesive + Permanent
- Tombow Dual Brush Pens
- Tombow MONO Twin Marker
- Tombow Blending Kit
- Bootiful Nights collection
- Chipboard
- Mixed media paper
- various embellishments from my stash
I used Tombow Dual Brush Pens in 623 and 636 and a Blending Kit to create purple watercolored papers for my bag flip, then adhered them down onto the bag with Tombow Xtreme Adhesive (my favorite adhesive ever!). To create the flip/pocket portion of the bag, I folded down the bottom of the bag, added Tombow Xtreme Tabs, removed the backings, then folded the bottom of the bag back up and pressed into place.
Here you can see the altered notebook I created! I matted a watercolored piece of photo paper to the front of a small notebook and used a Tombow MONO Twin marker to write "notes". The MONO Twin marker was also perfect for adding some line detailing around the matted pieces of my bag. I also created the file folder on the right and used the Tombow MONO + Adhesive Permanent to mat patterned paper and a fun trick or treat diecut on the front. The MONO + also worked great for other delicate bits of this project, like adhering the orange doily to the front of the bag.
I used photo paper and Tombow Dual Brush pens in 055 and 985 to create a watercolored effect for my candy corn diecut. The Tombow Xtreme Tabs came in handy when attaching the front decor pieces of my rosettes, as well as various little embellishments on the front of my bag.
And that is my completed bag flip project! I hope you enjoyed the video and it left you inspired to create your own Halloween bag flip. Thank you so much for joining me today! Make sure to share your creepy crafty creations on FB and IG using #creepycraftydays so that I can see it!
