DIY Luggage Tags From Sticky Notes!
Hey Everyone!! Back in May I flew to California for a quick family getaway and I checked one black suitcase. When we arrived at LAX and I was watching all of the bags go by I couldn’t tell mine apart from any of the others. They were all plain black bags! If I can’t tell mine apart from everyone else’s something told me there was probably someone else who couldn’t tell mine apart from theirs! Now no need to worry- I did safely retrieve my bag but I decided I needed something to help me identify my suitcase from now on! I don’t travel a ton so I didn’t want to spend any extra money on a store bought tag but I got the idea to make my own using PopFizzPaper sticky notes and running them through a laminator! The PopFizzPaper sticky notes in particular are perfect for this project because they have a large white area in the center that makes your writing easy to read!

These are really simple to put together and with two sticky notes you can make a really nice double-sided tag. I tried out several different styles of tags. On some I had my name, email, and phone number, others I only had my name, and on a few I just put funny sayings. You might not feel comfortable having personal information on your bag but at least the colorful tag will make it easy for you to spot in the sea of suitcases!
After I had nailed down the phrases and information I wanted on my tags I used my TomBow Permanent Adhesive runner to glue the front and back sticky notes together.
I wanted to use a permanent adhesive to ensure the sticky notes didn’t get off center as I punched and laminated them. The TomBow runner ensured that once I had the papers lined up they would stay perfectly in place.
Once each card had been glued, embellished (because obviously- it’s how we roll around here), and hole punched I simply ran them through my laminator and attached the string!
Here are a few of my favorites below- of course the sassy ones are the best! “Take my luggage, be my butler!” Ha! :)
Obviously I made a few more tags than I really needed but they were so easy to make and required so few supplies that I wanted to show different examples of what you might want your tag to say! I’m going to tie a tag on each of our suitcases and duffel bags to ensure they are also easy to spot! I hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial! Thanks for stopping by!
