Setting up A Client Notebook
As a few of you may know I'm a trained Makeup Artist and work freelance directly with clients. You also probably know I'm obsessed with my traveler's notebooks. I'm currently in the pretty Lyra and Co one but I also have leather Foxy Fix. I'm starting to hit spring down here, and thus my busy wedding season coming up. One thing that was clear to me was I needed an notebook dedicated to meeting with my clients. So I gathered up supplies from the stunning Beauty Babe kit.
Soon as I saw this kit I knew I needed to do something for my Makeup work. Its palette is soft and gentle for my clients but not so soft as to feel unlike me. My first thing was to cover the kraft brown cover.
This X's and O's paper was just the perfect choice. It was not too busy yet had a fun design, it would also look good to my mostly bridal clients. I wanted to add some visual interest so I added the cutoff strip flipped to show the blush rose pattern along the top third of the cover. Next all I needed was one of the sticky notes which made a great title plate. I had one set of the gold glitter X and O stickers from the decorative sheet of the kit and they finished the cover.
Now for the insides I started with the first page. Using the left over bottom washi from the kit I cut it into a large page flag and added another decorative sticker. Real simple. This is the perfect page for me to jot down products that clients have specifically requested. This way it's easy for me to flip to and find what I need to order.
Next was to work on the Index page. I started with some bottom decoration, several layered strips of paper in a neat design to draw your attention. Then my favourite sticker in the entire set, simple yet perfect statement.
That done I wanted to highlight the very top left page with the word Index. Using two washi strips from the left overs of a kit leaving a space in the center for my title added some visual interest. I just had, HAD, to use this washi. So that completed the page.
All I had left to do now was put it in my Traveler's Notebook and head off to meet with clients. How are you using your papers? Feel free to tag either @brooklynne_michelle or @popfizzpaper on Instagram to show me, or pop over to our facebook group and join the fun.
