Using a Monthly Kit as a Weeky in your Personal Planner
Hey everyone! As my last blog post for 2016, I wanted to share a quick hack by using a monthly kit in weekly personal sized inserts! This just goes to show how incredibly versatile these sticker kits are! Since I don't use the monthly view in my erin condren, I didn't want to let this gorgeous "perfect peony" January kit from PFP go to waste. So, I went ahead and altered some of the stickers to fit my SewMuchCrafting vertical week on two pages inserts.
The first thing I did was use the long thin glitter strips in the kit to add some pizazz on the edges of my inserts. They were a tad bit short since they're meant for the erin condren monthly header section, so i went ahead and added some of the deco on the bottom of each page to cover up the empty space.
Next up, for the side bar, I didn't do any trimming and just placed one of the check boxes, a header, and a deco sticker to make this chic to-do list!
Now, for the appointment labels, I had to do some trimming so that they would fit neatly inside the vertical boxes of the inserts. I just eye-balled this and trimmed the edges of all the appointment labels at once to save time.
And the rest of the stickers fit perfectly fine! The check boxes and washi strips were a tad wider, but I think they look pretty good, even without the trimming. Under Sunday, i used the large washi that is meant to cover up the days not a part of January in the monthly view, turned it, and stuck it in to indicate that I will be busy with an event all day.
I hope you all enjoyed this quick little planner hack! You can do this with leftover monthly kits or even purchase it just to be a little more creative with your weekly views! Wishing you all a BEAUTIFUL holiday season and start to the new year <3
