Hello all!  It’s Jennifer again, and this week I want to share with y’all how I made this cute makeup brush cup with the October Popfizzpaper kit papers and stickers!  

For this craft, you will need:

• Popfizzpaper kit papers
• Container to decoupage (I upcycled a travel sized chip canister)
• ModPodge (or similar... I hear a 1:1 ratio of Elmer’s glue and water works, but I have not tried this)
• Scissors or paper trimmer
• Popfizzpaper stickers
• Foam brush
• Newspaper to cover your work area (this gets messy!)
• Brayer (optional)

For this craft, I decided to use an empty travel sized chip canister and it’s the perfect size to corral my makeup brushes and other essentials!  I just made sure the canister was clean before I started.  The first step is cutting your paper down to size.  I wrapped the paper around the canister and marked where I needed to cut lightly with a pencil.  I made sure to have a slight overlap wrapping the paper around the canister to ensure complete coverage.  Repeat this process for the length of the paper, but this time you do not want any overlap.

Get your foam brush and apply an even layer of ModPodge to the reverse side of your paper.  Carefully apply the paper to the canister.  Paper tends to get wrinkly when it’s wet, so you can use the brayer to carefully smooth any wrinkles.  Once the paper was glued onto the canister, I added some decorative Popfizzpaper stickers! 

Adding ModPodge over top of the paper and stickers will make the finished makeup cup more durable.  One word of warning though: the color from the Popfizzpaper stickers (or any inkjet printed stickers) will bleed unless you carefully dab the ModPodge over the stickered areas.  If you simply brush the glue over stickers, they WILL bleed.  You also run the risk of the sticker paper tearing if you brush the stickers.  I achieved the best results from dabbing glue over the sticker, then wiping any discoloration that ended up on the foam brush off on some newspaper. 

Once you have applied one layer of ModPodge to your cup, let it dry.  The glue will dry clear.  I applied one more coat of ModPodge after this.  You do not have to be as careful applying the glue during the second coat because the first coat sealed the stickers.  Now you can focus on nice even brush strokes.  Once that dries, go ahead and fill it up with your makeup brushes or pencils!

Tell me I am not the only person out there that uses an actual wireless optical mouse for my computer instead of the built in mouse pad attached to the computer? I guess I’m old school because my little Logitech optical mouse is my favorite because I just don’t like the flat built in mouse pads that come on the computers. Plus, there are so many cute mouse pads out there that just add cuteness to your desk area.

So why am I talking about computer mouse pads? Well today, I am going to show you a really quick DIY mousepad using some items from the October PopFizzPaper Planner Kit. How quick you may be wondering? Like 5 minutes’ tops! Let’s jump right into this DIY project and make a cute mouse pad for our desk.

Supplies you will need:

• 1- Cork board or cork tile [you can also just use a piece of wood, thick cardboard or thick cardstock]
• 1-2 sheets of design paper
• 1-2 sheets of a clear pocket protectors
• 1 foam brush
• Mod Podge
• Pen or marker
• Paper cutter or a pair of scissors

Intentionally my goal was to make a cute heart-shaped mouse pad however I went to 4 different stores and couldn’t find a large cork sheet I only found actual framed cork boards. Finally, I decided to check one last store, Office Depot. They did have the large sheet I was looking for but they had these cute, squared cork wall tiles that were 6” x 6” my first thought in my mind was “this size is perfect!” I have a small desk so realistically I couldn’t have a large mouse pad anyways. I grabbed the 4-pack of 6”x 6” cork wall tiles for $5.99 and I figured I could either make wall décor or make 3 other different mouse pads that I could swap out throughout the year with the extra 3 tiles.

Ok, I rambled enough … first thing you are going to do is decide the shape of the mousepad that you want. If you have a large sheet [of cork] then cut out the shape you want. I took my pre-cut, ready-to-go cork tile and placed it onto my design paper and just traced that way the paper will be the same size as the tile. Then grab your clear sheet… you can go out and find a thicker, clear plastic sheet to go onto of your design paper so that it glides over the mousepad better OR you can a clear binder protector sheet. You know the pocket sleeves that most of us use to store our stickers in in mini binders; those work just fine and they are inexpensive. Put the tile onto the sleeve and trace also.

Next grab your paper cutter or scissors and cut the lines that you traced with the pen on both the design paper and pocket protector sleeve. Don’t worry if there is excess on the sides because after you glue everything together you’ll be cutting all excess off anyways.



Take your foam brush and add some mod podge onto it and put it all over the top of the cork tile. Place the design paper right on top of the cork and smooth out any bubbles or bumps.

Add a thin layer of mod podge on top of the design paper and place the pocket sleeve on top. Smooth out any imperfections and place something heavy on top of the mouse pad until everything dries.
*This is optional: but I added the exclusive PopFizzPaper Beauty Babe washi along the sides of the tile so I didn’t see any cork and honestly this black and white stripes washi looks so cute paired with the Beauty Babe rose design paper I chose to use. LOVE!

So that is it! Told you this would be quick! Now, grab your mousepad put your mouse on top and start using. You just made a cute DIY mousepad that cost you less than $5-$10 to make [depending on how much supplies you already had]. Hello there! Today I’m sharing how I customized a plain notebook with 4 tabbed sections to keep track of all of my lists! I am a list maker- to the extreme. I love making lists for everything but I have a habit of misplacing them. I’ve tried using a regular notebook to keep all of the lists together but they would get so chaotic and long term lists would get lost amongst shopping lists and daily to-dos so I decided to organize my lists!

Here's a look at the supplies I grabbed:

I’m using a full size notebook, scissors, paper trimmer, 1/8 inch hole punch, adhesive runner, and from PopFizzPaper I pulled tab stickers, washi, pens, and patterned paper.

I wanted to make sure this notebook would hold up to long-term use and travel in my purse when necessary so I didn’t want the tabs sticking out farther than the cover. Luckily all I had to do was cut off about a half inch of the paper. This was super quick with a paper trimmer.

I already knew what sections I wanted- Grocery, To Do, Packing, and Projects. You could print out the text or use alpha stickers but I wasn’t too concerned about it so I wrote mine out with a pen.

 Before I attached the tabs I wanted to reinforce the pages they were going to be on to ensure they wouldn’t accidentally rip out over time. Using my adhesive runner I glued two pages together. I washi’d over the perforated “easy tear” line of the paper on the front and back. And finally I took a strip of patterned paper and glued it along the edge to make it sturdier as I grab for the tab. Then I simply placed the tab on top of that.

Technically I could have stopped there but as I always say- I had to add some embellishment! I pulled out the metallic gold vellum sheet from the PopFizzPaper Planner Kit as well as the info card (to use the beautiful pattern on the back), quote stickers, hole punch, and the adhesive runner.

I’m sure by now most, if not all of you, have seen a tutorial about how to make your own removable cover, coil clip, or insert for a coil bound planner (or in this case notebook). You just use something from the planner as a template, mark your holes, punch, and then cut a slit into each hole. I wanted to use the metallic gold sheet as a fly leaf in the very front of the notebook so I placed it underneath the open cover and marked the holes with a pen to ensure my punches were straight.

Finally, on the inside cover I glued the info card down, embellished with glitter washi, and glued in a small stack of sticky notes in case I ever want to take away a smaller version of a list I have made in the book. And with that I was done!

The day I put this together I used it to make my shopping list and it worked out perfectly to bring with me to the store and be able to quickly find the list I needed. I love making lists and I love even more that my lists will stay organized in this notebook. Plus, it’s adorable and looks reminiscent of a planner! You could totally use this same method for a bullet journal style planner! I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial! Happy list-making!

One of the parts of a personal planner I never realized I needed was a book mark type item. The more I use my personal the more it seems like a necessity.

I decided to make myself two out of the papers I have gotten in the Pop Fizz Paper kits. I already have one that I used as a template. Here are the items I used

Supplies:

• Pop fizz paper kit papers (4)
• White card stock
• 6 hole punch
• Pencil
• Scissors
• tape runner

I started by tracing the template on to the papers with a pencil. I think simply took some scissors and cut them all out. Since I do not have a laminator I used 4 papers so it would be thicker and double sided. I then traced the template on to the card stock and cut it out. The card stock will be to make it sturdy and thick.

Anytime I do anything with planner this happens!

I then decided which papers I wanted to go together and I used the tape runner and attached them to either side of the card stock. The last step was to hole punch them with my 6 hole punch.

I used papermate flair pens and sharpie markers to right today and month on them.

I wish I had a laminator but being a teacher I will probably take these to school and laminate them.

If you follow me on Instagram then you probably know that I have been on the hunt for a good solid travel planner. I recently started using the DIYfish inserts for a Traveler's Notebook and I'm really happy with them, they are the perfect combination of Weekly and Daily format.

One of my favourite things about these inserts is that I can easily decorate the week to match my Happy Planner spread. As you can see here I used the lush and stunning Beauty Babe kit which I just looooooove. This was a great kit to use as it came with so many extra stickers!

The first thing I do is decorate the weekly overview page and the notes sections to jazz the whole thing up. Each week I use this section differently, I jot down notes from phone calls or meetings, todo lists, mood tracking, etc. I love that these habit trackers work soooo well for my dog's meals for the week, this way when I'm out of the house I can tell my flatmate what to feed him.

I love the way these pages came out, and they feel so happy and friendly! They are ready to document my week! 

I decided to show you just the Saturday as it has both the weekly look and what I do for marking the weekend. I use the same washi that I used in my planner along the sides of the pages, using my paper trimmer to remove any excess. Next I cover the bottom line with a thin washi, luckily I have this thin gold washi that matches the one from the kit. If I don't have a matching thin washi I just use a paper trimmer to trim the washi down to size.

Lastly for a normal weekday I add a today sticker and cover up the check boxes with some great check flags. Simple, fun but productive. The weekend scriptbanners look amazing and fit perfectly under the chronodex. I only mark Saturday, but you could use on on Sunday too!!!

Hello everyone!  It’s Jennifer here, and today I’d like to share a fun, quick, and easy birthday calendar insert I made for my Happy Planner!  I prefer to use checklist flag stickers instead of the full box checklists on my weekly spreads, so I love finding creative ways to use up my sticker stash!  I had a perpetual calendar from Erin Condren that I used to list important birthdays and anniversaries, but I didn’t like it very much because I didn’t have a ton of birthdays to list.  Every month I had to remember where I put the thing, and most of it looked pretty blank.  So I thought this would be a perfect use for my extra full box checklist stickers!

For this project, I used: 

• Happy Planner sized full box checklist stickers left over from the Rio kit, the Daydreams and Ice Creams kit, and the Harbor Dreams kit. 
• January thru June Monthly Header Stickers (DA20-1)
• July thru December Monthly Header Stickers (DA20-2)
• Cardstock
• Happy Planner Punch
• Washi 

First, I cut down my cardstock to fit my Happy Planner, or approximately 9 ¼ x 7 inches, and punched it with the Happy Planner punch.  Next, I put down my full box stickers, 6 on each side of the page.  I could have gone with colors that matched my cardstock better, but I thought it would be fun to try and pick colored checklists that went along with each month:  icy blue for January; pink for February; shamrock green for March; etc. 

Don’t forget to label your boxes! These monthly header labels are perfect for this project, plus you’ll have plenty left over for other things!  As a finishing touch, I added some confetti and “celebrate” washi from my stash to make things a little more festive. 

Now all you have to do is fill out the calendar!  I was able to transfer all of my important birthdays and anniversaries from my perpetual calendar to my insert, so now I’ll always have the information with me!

I wanted to show you up close how I use my favorites. My number 6 favorite would definitely be the half boxes because I like the way these icons look inside of the boxes. I usually stick a Happy Birthday inside of a half box or on the left side of an appointment label just so I can be able to write down whose birthday it is. Same thing with the football stickers I stick them on the left side of a half box and right in the game and time.

Appointment labels I like to use them at the bottom of my checklists for anything important and I’ve been using them a lot to keep track of my blog schedule on my monthly calender it just gives the calander a more cleaner and organized look. By usuing a sticker it just makes preplanning in my monthly calender a little easier because I can just remove the sticker and replace it with a new appointment label. If you're a student like me try using the appointment labels for scheduling due dates for assignments or even upcoming quizzes and tests.

Here is a before the pen using the Midnight Galaxy kit and my top 5 favorites. You can see I have a birthday and football stickers both in half boxes, Instagram tear drop icons for the days I plan to post photos on Instagram, there is an appointment label which I plan to use for what assignment I have due for that day, and there is also a bill due because this week was the week of the 1^st and rent is always due on the 1^st for me. That’s it these are my top 5 and how I use them!
